James Madison University is pleased to announce that the following students made the dean's list for the fall 2016 semester.

The deans of each of UNG's five colleges - the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences & Professions, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics - announced the names of those students who made their respective lists for fall 2016. Dean's List recognition is achieved by having a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

Over 180 Ithaca College students have been inducted into the Oracle Honor Society. The Oracle Honor Society is a historic Ithaca College honor society that recognizes academic excellence. New students who achieve a GPA within the top 10 percent of students in their academic school after completing two full semesters at the college are invited to accept membership into the society.

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 377 students who excelled academically in the Fall 2016 semester to the College's Dean's List.

Communities at New Paltz: four living and learning programs for first-year students.

Loyola University Maryland welcomed the members of its class of 2020. As first-year students embark on their college experience, they will all take part in Loyola's living learning program, Messina. The common text for Messina is How to Win an Election, Quintus Tullius Cicero's letter to his brother, Marcus Cicero, a candidate for Consul (the highest office in the Roman church) in 64 B.C.

Buffalo State is pleased to welcome the Class of 2020 to campus. The new Bengals started class on August 29, 2016.

More than 200 new freshman, transfer and international students have been awarded merit scholarships to attend SUNY Oneonta beginning in the fall 2016 semester. The award amounts range from $1,000 to full in-state tuition scholarships of $6,470 per year.

This fall, SUNY Oneonta will welcome approximately 1,100 freshmen and 600 new transfer students hailing from across New York, as well as from 12 other states and countries. New students moved in on Aug. 24, and the fall 2016 semester starts Aug. 29. Our newest Red Dragons will officially join the Oneonta family when they walk through the historic pillars of Old Main during the traditional Pass Through the Pillars ceremony on the campus quad the night before classes begin.

Over 150 Ithaca College student-athletes were named to the Empire 8 Athletic Conference President's List for the spring 2016 semester.

Congratulations on making the Dean's List! Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2016 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

The State University of New York at New Paltz has announced its Dean's List for the spring 2016 semester. Dean's List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Presidential Scholars for the 2016-17 school year, representing a variety of academic areas and exemplifying the college's institutional values. A Presidential Scholar is a top-achieving member of the senior class who also serves as an ambassador for the college.

More than 500 students earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2016 semester at SUNY Canton.

A total of 1,469 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2016 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Members of the Class of 2016 received their diplomas May 15 at the 195th Colgate University Commencement. Robert D. Manfred Jr. P'16, the commissioner of Major League Baseball, delivered the keynote address.

Students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2016 semester at Clarkson University.

Approximately 1,100 students were graduation candidates for Coastal Carolina University's commencement ceremonies on May 6 and 7, 2016, at the HTC Center on campus. Grand Strand businessman and civic leader Dennis L. Wade was the speaker for the event, which consisted of four separate ceremonies.

The College hosts an Awards Ceremony in May after the spring semester classes end. Awards from academic departments across campus are given out to hard working students who have been selected by department chairs and College executives.
