New York Institute of Technology congratulates more than 580 students who were named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List.

A select group of outstanding students has been named to the spring 2019 Dean's List at Adelphi University. Adelphi's deans of Arts and Sciences, Education, Business, Nursing, Social Work and Psychology recognize superior academic work every semester. The Dean's List comprises full-time students-registered for 12 or more credits-who have completed at least 9 graded credits and achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above for the semester. This recognition becomes part of the student's academic record and is entered into the individual's transcript.

More than 690 students graduated from SUNY Delhi in May 2019. Commencement was held on May 18, and over 750 certificates, associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees were conferred upon the Class of 2019. SUNY Delhi's hands-on approach to teaching and learning includes over 55 academic programs in specialized areas, including applied technologies, nursing, veterinary sciences, applied sciences, and liberal arts. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Students have been named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester.

James Madison University is pleased to announce the students who graduated during the May 2019 commencement exercises.

Wilkes University Senior Vice President and Provost Anne Skleder announced the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must obtain a minimum 3.5 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5-grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its President's List for the spring semester 2019. To be on the list, a student must have achieved an A in all coursework (4.0-grade point average) while taking at least 12 credit hours.

Twenty students and two faculty members from the Veterinary Science Technology program attended the New York State Association of Veterinary Technicians (NYSAVT) 2019 Spring Seminar in Syracuse, NY, April 12-14. The NYSAVT Spring Seminar is a professional conference for veterinary technicians to obtain continuing education (CE) hours required to maintain their licensure. Students who attend the conference are able to start building their CE hours as well as network with other students, vet techs, and potential employers. The students reported that attending the seminar was very valuable they were able to draw connections between content learned in their classes and the workshops. Taylor Powers '19 especially enjoyed learning about how to manage stress and compassion fatigue and improving communication skills. "This will help me not only for the rest of my Delhi career but my future career as a busy Vet tech," said Taylor. SUNY Delhi's Veterinary Science Technology program was the first of its kind in the nation and is fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Offering both an associate's and bachelor's degree, SUNY Delhi graduates are prepared to become licensed veterinary technicians and care for the health and wellness of animals of all sizes.

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania congratulates the nearly 1,900 students who were named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List. A full-time student whose semester GPA is 3.5 or higher in 12 or more semester hours of course work for which a grade or grades are received will be named to the deans' list.

A total of 1,553 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2019 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Students are recognized for earning President's List honors during the spring 2019 semester at SUNY Canton.

Some 3,275 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 218th commencement ceremonies. Darren Walker who presides over the Ford Foundation, one of the world's most influential social justice philanthropies and one of the largest private foundations in the United States, delivered the address.

A total of 615 bachelor degrees were awarded by St. Lawrence University during Commencement ceremonies, which were held on May 19 in Canton, New York.

Five SUNY Oneonta students are having a direct, hands-on effect on the future of science education this summer by designing and creating their own instructional models for use in classrooms. The students are part of the Earth Science Model and Design Institute, which gives pre-service Earth Science teachers the chance to design and build their own models of particularly complex or abstract Earth processes and concepts. Project leaders are Dr. James Ebert of the Earth & Atmospheric Sciences Department and Dr. Paul Bischoff of the Secondary Education Department. Participating students, who were selected from a pool of applicants, will spend four weeks designing and building the models and will work throughout the year to tweak and perfect them. The models are made using everyday items such as plastic bottles, rulers, wooden dowels and index cards, so that they can be easily replicated. Bischoff said the experience gives students a more in-depth understanding of the research process and lets them see the creative components to teaching. The students receive a stipend, in addition to room and board.

Sixty-seven Muhlenberg College student-athletes were recognized for their performance in the classroom and on the field, court, track and course with their selection to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2019 season.
